Date/Time: December 13, 2008, 7:00 a.m. EST at Wakulla Springs State Park.

Course:  The course is TAC certified.  Three of the 2.06 mile loops is equal to 10K.  The surface is an asphalt park road, the surroundings very scenic. 

Aid Stations: There will be an aid station at the start/finish, and runners will have access to it every 2.06 miles.  Restrooms are available at the start/finish.  Runners are welcome to set up their own aid station along the course. 

Weather:  The average low for December 13 is 48, and the average high 72.  Rain is not common in this area during the month of December. 

Registration: Fees for registration are $35 (no shirt) or $45 (short sleeved tech shirt).  Members of Gulf Winds Track Club will receive a $2.00 discount.  Registration is available by check/snail mail or active.com.  Registration deadline is November 30, 2008.  No race day registration.  Printable registration form.    Active.com registration. 

Packet Pick-up: Packet pick up will begin at 6:00 a.m. at the start/finish area. 

Finisher Award:  There will be a finisher memento to all 50 mile and 50K finishers. 

Awards: Beautiful stone wildlife paintings by local artist Dawn Peffer will be awarded to the overall male and female in both the 50M and 50K, as well as to the first male and female master in each event.  In addition, our sponsor, The North Face, will provide the overall male and female 50 mile finishers with a winner's package consisting of high quality TNF running gear. 

Volunteers: We can always use volunteers for this event.  If you are interested/available, please contact Peg or Gary Griffin. 

Replacement Drink: We will offer Gatorade and water at the aid station. 

Cutoff Time: Runners must begin their last lap by 5:00 p.m., ten hours after the race start.
